On This Auspicious Night

Shravana Purnima

is the full moon of the sacred Shravana month, a time of heightened spiritual energy, purification, and devotion. It is traditionally dedicated to Lord Shiva and the sacred rivers, symbolising the flow of grace and inner cleansing. On this night, rituals and prayers are offered to honour divine protection, deepen inner connection, and realign with the rhythm of the soul.

Raksha Bandhan & Abhishekam Ritual
Offered as a heartfelt addition at the close of our Kirtan gathering, this gentle ceremony honours the auspicious energy of Shravana Purnima. We begin with the Raksha Bandhan tradition - tying sacred threads to symbolise bonds of protection, care, and spiritual connection.

This is followed by Abhishekam, a ritual of devotion and surrender, where milk is poured over the Shiva Lingam as sacred mantras are chanted.

All are warmly welcome to take part.
